December Pike,
Chief Executive Officer

La'Keisha December Pike, being preferred to be called “December,” because it represents her newfound identity in Christ. “Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new” (2 Corinthians 5:17).
December was born and raised in North Philadelphia. She grew up in a single parent home with her two younger siblings and her mother, who is the foundation of her strength. A product of the Philadelphia Public School System, she graduated from Strawberry Mansion High School and from there pursed a degree in higher education. She attended West Chester University and received a Bachelor’s Degree in Liberal Arts Studies in 2004 with minors in African/African American Studies, Creative Writing, and Theater. After obtaining her Bachelor’s Degree, she completed the Master of Education Degree program at Cabrini College in 2010. She followed in the footsteps of her spiritual father in the ministry, Bishop Dr. James P. Brown, and attended Palmer Theological Seminary of Eastern University, where she received her Master of Divinity Degree in May 2021. She obtained her License to Preach the Gospel on October 11, 2015. She was then Ordained as Reverend on August 13, 2017. She is now serving as the Associate Minister at Christian Faith Baptist Church under the Pastoral Leadership of Bishop Dr. James P. Brown. She is currently working as a Drama Teacher for grades K-8 for the Philadelphia School District. She is the Founder of a Non-Profit Organization called “Passionate Minds, Inc.,” which offers a platform for youth and adults to express, discover, and learn about different artistic expressions. She is also the Chief Executive Officer of “Driven By Passion Production, LLC,” which serves to educate, evangelize, enlighten, and expose the Christian faith through the exploration of the Creative and Performing Arts. For people to proclaim their Christian faith through the arts as a testament of their beliefs. She is also the founder of "Radical Unit Nation (R.U.N), which is her creative outlet through song writing and poetic expressions. Being known as a "Lyrical Sermonist."
As of December 2010, she became the Chief Executive Officer of “Driven By Passion Production, LLC.” She was inspired by the tragedies of her life experiences that birth forth the need for her to find a way to express herself, which first began with writing as a young child. The incidents of her life made her aware that there were others like herself, who struggled with the pressures and circumstances of life that have caused people to cocoon and masked the true feelings they have deep down inside. Understanding what it means to live in the dark and unseen the gift of creative writing offered by God to express herself, it gave her a reason to appreciate the making of her being. It was the arts that signatured her identity and led her to a new name, which explains why she goes by December. No longer the residue of her past, God restored life in her and established a new creation resurrected out of the ashes into a light of promise.
